Child Find is the most comprehensive missing children's agency in Canada. Volunteers conduct street proofing workshops, KidCheck Safety ID programs, fingerprinting workshops, and public speaking sessions.     4. Hearing Every Youth Through Youth

    H.E.Y.Y. is a non-profit volunteer organization that runs an anonymous community phone line, designed by youth in Toronto. All of the youth counsellors have been carefully screened. They have all completed an extensive thirteen week training period of three hours per week. At the end of our training, they must attend a final intensive weekend long skills building session. In addition, they participate in information sessions, workshops and skills building activities to keep updated on the issues that affect youth. This is an excellent volunteering opportunity as well as a leadership opportunity for youth interested in a long term committment and who are possibly interested in any social services careers.

    Katimavik is Canada's leading national youth service learning program. Katimavik offers young Canadian men and women aged 17 to 21 an opportunity to acquire valuable personal and professional skills through an alternative educational program. The program is based on the concept of service learning - learning through volunteer work on community projects to which participants make a significant contribution. For nine months, participants live in mixed groups of 11 francophones and anglophones originating from all regions of Canada. 94% of former Katmavik participants would recommend the program to other youth!
